Salary: $100k + super

About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead and grow the online presence for a client that is a premium, active lifestyle and adventure-focused brand. This is a hands-on role for someone who is creative, strategic, and passionate about connecting with an active, outdoors-loving community. You’ll be responsible for developing content, engaging audiences, and driving campaigns that resonate with people who love sport, adventure, and the outdoors.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media strategy aligned with business goals
  • Set KPIs and success measures for each platform
  • Manage content calendars for ongoing and campaign activity
  • Plan social campaigns around product launches, events, and seasonal moments
  • Ensure consistency of tone, style, and messaging across all channels
  • Provide recommendations to optimise performance Content & Publishing
  • Lead content creation from briefing through publishing
  • Create and curate engaging content across social channels
  • Work with community partners, ambassadors, and contributors on content
  • Assist with editing written, photo, and video content
  • Maintain organised content libraries Community & Engagement
  • Own community management, including tone of voice and response standards
  • Engage with audiences across social platforms and relevant online communities
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and enquiries promptly
  • Escalate issues as needed Campaigns, Events & Activations
  • Coordinate and amplify social campaigns
  • Support live coverage at events and activations
  • Capture content at events in collaboration with the wider team
  • Support partners with social best-practice guidance
  • Ambassador & Partnership Programs
  • Manage ambassador, influencer, and partner programs
  • Coordinate content projects and track performance
  • Ensure compliance with any endorsement or disclosure guidelines Performance & Optimisation
  • Track and report on social performance and KPIs
  • Analyse data and insights to optimise strategy
  • Deliver regular reporting with actionable recommendations

REQUIREMENTS +

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years in social media or content roles
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Meta platforms
  • Proven results in engagement, growth, traffic, or awareness
  • Excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills
  • Experience with video/photo editing and social management tools
  • Highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Background as a sporty, outdoorsy person with a passion for adventure and active lifestyles is essential.
