  • The Role

    As a Merchandise Planner, you’ll be responsible for building and managing category plans that maximise sales, optimise inventory, and protect margin.

    You’ll partner closely with Buying to ensure ranges are commercially balanced and supported by strong forecasting and inventory strategies. This role requires strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and confidence in turning data into actionable trading decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Develop and manage merchandise plans across key product categories
  • Forecast demand and manage inventory to achieve sales and margin targets
  • Monitor trading performance and identify risks and opportunities
  • Manage OTB, intake planning, and stock flow across the business
  • Drive replenishment, markdown, and promotional strategies
  • Deliver weekly and monthly trade reporting with actionable insights
  • Partner closely with Buying to support range planning and category strategy
  • Analyse customer trends and historical performance to improve future planning decisions

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Previous experience in merchandise planning or allocation within retail
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, stock management, and retail financials
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
  • Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills with confidence influencing stakeholders
