The Role

As a Merchandise Planner, you'll be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory, and delivering insights that drive commercial performance. You'll partner closely with Buying to ensure ranges are balanced, stock is optimised, and financial targets are achieved.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and the confidence to challenge and influence business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Develop and manage category plans to deliver sales, margin, and inventory targets
  • Build forecasts and manage OTB to support business objectives
  • Analyse sales, stock, and trading performance to identify risks and opportunities
  • Partner with Buying on range planning, assortment decisions, and seasonal strategies
  • Drive replenishment, markdown, and inventory optimisation initiatives
  • Produce regular reporting and actionable commercial insights
  • Monitor market trends and customer demand to inform planning decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and trading outcomes

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Previous planning experience within an apparel retail environment - minimum 2 years end to end planning
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and retail financials
  • Experience managing OTB and trading categories
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
