RESPONSIBILITIES +
1.) Launch, Trading & Commercial Growth
- Build and execute a disciplined trading plan across categories, merchandising, and product storytelling
- Partner with Brand/Marketing to align editorial content + campaign cadence to trading priorities
- Track weekly performance and pull the right levers across traffic quality, conversion, AOV, frequency, retention
- Implement a tight set of KPIs that create clarity, pace, and accountability (no vanity metrics, please) 2) Curated Vendor Ecosystem (End-to-End)
- Own the full vendor lifecycle: acquisition → onboarding → standards → performance → retention
- Define “best-in-class” vendor standards across:
- imagery + listing quality
- storytelling + founder experience
- product readiness + data integrity
- fulfilment reliability + operational consistency
- Build scalable workflows and cadence that protect quality at scale
- Identify category gaps and proactively recruit priority vendors aligned with positioning 3) Pathway from D2C → Wholesale & Broader Distribution
- Design a progression model that helps select brands move from digital validation to wholesale readiness
- Build criteria, milestones, and playbooks for expansion (clear gates, clear accountability)
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen brand readiness across margin, packaging, fulfilment, supply capacity, consistency
- Collaborate with leadership to align capital solutions to wholesale growth opportunities where relevant 4) Customer Experience & Service Standard
- Lead a premium customer + founder experience at every touchpoint
- Own service quality, issue resolution, and operational excellence across vendor comms and customer outcomes
- Ensure fulfilment, returns, and support run like a brand people trust (because trust is the whole business model)
REQUIREMENTS +
- 10+ years across e-commerce ops, marketplace management, vendor ops, and retail merchandising
- Proven success scaling an online store/marketplace with strong commercial outcomes
- You can run a trading rhythm: weekly performance reviews, test-and-learn, decisive prioritisation
- Systems mindset: you build processes that don’t fall apart the moment volume spikes
- Experience with multi-vendor platforms and external partner management
- You balance performance with taste: you understand that curation + storytelling is a growth lever, not fluff
- You’re values-led and commercially sharp — you can hold both without getting corny or cold
