The Role
Reporting to the COO and working within the Product team, the Fashion Designer is responsible for designing trend-led, commercial womenswear aligned to customer insight, margin targets, and brand direction.
You’ll work closely with Buying, Product Development, Planning, Marketing, and Creative teams to translate trend research, performance data, and brand strategy into high-performing product ranges.
This is a hands-on role with real impact across design, sales performance, and customer engagement.

What you'll be doing Trend Forecasting & Market Research
- Conduct ongoing trend research across TikTok, Instagram, influencers, runway, street style, and competitors
- Build and present seasonal and monthly trend decks
- Analyse bestseller and performance data to identify winning silhouettes, fabrics, and details
- Identify commercial gaps and propose fast-track design opportunities
- Build cohesive design stories that resonate with the core customer while pushing the brand forward Design & Product Creation
- Design original, trend-led womenswear across assigned categories
- Create sketches, CADs, and partial tech packs using Adobe Illustrator
- Design prints, placements, motifs, and recolours where required
- Design into approved fabric platforms, balancing cost, quality, and brand alignment Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Buyers to align design with commercial goals, pricing, and margins
- Work with Product Development through sampling, fit sessions, and design refinement
- Collaborate with Planning to understand category investment and growth opportunities
- Support Creative and Marketing teams with styling and product storytelling direction
- Provide product knowledge to internal teams to support customer experience Product Development Support
- Review samples for fit, construction, colour accuracy, and print execution
- Provide clear, annotated feedback and updated CADs
- Ensure all design documentation is accurate and delivered on time Brand & Customer Focus
- Translate brand strategy into cohesive, elevated design outcomes
- Maintain a strong understanding of the 18–24 customer lifestyle and behaviour
- Ensure all designs align with the brand’s evolving aesthetic and positioning
Experience
- 3–6 years’ experience in fashion or apparel design
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume fashion or eCommerce environment
- Proven ability to translate trend research into commercial product
- Experience working with Buying, Product Development, and technical teams
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong trend forecasting capability across digital and global sources
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD design
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, and trims
- Ability to design within cost and margin parameters
- Strong communication, organisation, and time management skills
