SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER | WHOLESALE FASHION & ACCESSORIES


Our client is a prominent Australian fashion accessories business, known for delivering fast, trend-driven collections to leading national retailers across department stores and major chains. With a strong emphasis on creativity and collaboration, they foster a workplace where people are encouraged to grow, contribute, and enjoy what they do every day.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts as well as finding new accounts and opportunities. You will report to the Sales Director, and be supported by a minimum of one assistant account manager. Part of your role will include range planning and product development, so it's imperative you have these skills. 

Location: Fitzroy (close to public transport)

Salary: $100K - $120k + super | Dependent on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Partner with clients to develop and range on-trend, commercially relevant products tailored to their business needs.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities and building relationships with both existing and potential retail partners.
  • Oversee the end-to-end order process - from product placement and approvals through to delivery -ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.
  • Manage sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals, including budgets, OTB, and stock levels for vendor-managed accounts.
  • Provide strategic client management, mentor junior team members, and stay ahead of emerging trends across homewares, beauty, and tech to maximise retail success.

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical ability, with a deep understanding of both local and international fashion markets.
  • Proven experience in wholesale or retail buying within fashion accessories, including product sourcing, development, and production.
  • Skilled in analysing sales data to identify re-order opportunities, address slow movers, and drive profitability.
  • Confident communicator and highly organised multitasker, with strong skills in Excel, Office, and Outlook; CAD/design experience is a plus.
  • Experienced in packaging and product development across categories such as jewellery, tech, homewares, beauty, and gifting, with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
