Our client is a premium womenswear brand with a reputation for creating innovative, design-led collections that balance modern elegance with exceptional craftsmanship. With a growing presence across Australia and New Zealand, this is a rare opportunity to step into a key role within their production and development team.

As Product Developer, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the Creative & Brand Director to bring seasonal collections to life,  from fabric sourcing through to final shipment sample. This role requires a mix of technical skill, creative collaboration, and strong attention to detail to ensure each piece is developed to the highest standard.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Creative & Brand Director, the Product Developer will manage the end-to-end development process across womenswear categories. From cadding and tech packs, to fittings and supplier liaison, you’ll ensure all collections meet brand vision, critical path deadlines, and margin requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source fabrics and trims to meet design intent and seasonal direction.

  • Develop detailed CADs and comprehensive tech packs for each style.

  • Oversee trim, labelling, and artwork development in line with brand standards.

  • Build and maintain range boards for seasonal collections.

  • Work with the Garment Technician to develop detailed specifications.

  • Liaise with factories consistently to manage prototypes and sampling.

  • Manage all fittings (Proto, SMS, PP) and feedback with the Garment Technician.

  • Track and manage costings, ensuring margin targets are achieved.

  • Monitor and adhere to the Critical Path throughout the development cycle.

  • Oversee product through to final shipment sample.

About You

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Developer who thrives in a collaborative, creative environment. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in product development within womenswear.

  • Technical expertise in cadding, tech packs, and specification building.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with factories and suppliers.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

  • A “make it happen” attitude, adaptable work ethic, and collaborative mindset.

  • Keen eye for quality, detail, and commercial awareness in costings and margins.

Why Join Our Client?

This is a chance to become part of a forward-thinking fashion house where your work directly shapes collections seen across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll enjoy:

  • Working alongside a Creative Director who sets bold seasonal visions.

  • A role that balances creativity and technical execution.

  • Exposure to premium womenswear across multiple categories.

  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.

  • The opportunity to contribute to a brand that values innovation, detail, and craftsmanship.
