Our client, a celebrated Australian womenswear label with a growing global presence, is seeking a talented Mid to Senior Designer to join their dynamic Sydney-based team. About the Role
As a key member of the Design team, you’ll conceptualise and create original collections across womenswear and menswear categories. From runway-inspired premium drops to bridal, denim, streetwear, and special occasion pieces, you’ll have the chance to leave your mark on collections that resonate with a global audience. Working collaboratively with Design, Production, and external suppliers, you’ll bring bold ideas to life while ensuring every garment reflects the brand’s signature quality and style.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop cohesive collections across multiple categories (womenswear, menswear, bridal, premium, denim, streetwear).
Research and interpret trends, market insights, and cultural shifts to inform design direction.
Create detailed technical drawings and design packs to support sampling and production.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source fabrics, trims, and innovative techniques.
Participate in fittings, providing feedback to maintain design integrity.
Contribute to seasonal themes, brand positioning, and the overall creative vision.
Support and provide constructive feedback to junior design team members.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Designer in womenswear (menswear experience advantageous).
Strong trend awareness with the ability to translate insights into commercial yet directional collections.
Proficiency in CAD, Illustrator, and design software.
Excellent technical knowledge of garment construction and production processes.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
A creative thinker with the confidence to contribute to brand vision and seasonal narratives.
