We’ve partnered with a premium Australian fashion brand to recruit a Junior Designer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an emerging designer looking to build their career within a highly creative environment, working closely with senior design leadership and gaining hands-on exposure across design, artwork, sampling and production.
You’ll play an important role in bringing seasonal collections to life, from creating CADs and artwork through to sample preparation and showroom presentations.

The Role
As Junior Designer, you’ll support the Senior Designer and Head of Design across the development and execution of seasonal collections.
From creating accurate CADs and artwork to preparing samples, showroom presentations and sales materials, you’ll help ensure each collection is delivered to a high standard and on time.
This role would suit a highly organised, creative and detail-focused designer who enjoys working collaboratively and wants to develop their skills within a premium fashion environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Create accurate CAD illustrations based on direction from the Senior Designer and Head of Design
- Set up and maintain tech packs, design sheets, BOMs and product information
- Assist with style creation and updates within Centric
- Develop print, trim, embroidery, embellishment and placement artwork
- Maintain seasonal storyboards, digital design boards and range documents
- Assist with sample development, preparation and seasonal range reviews
- Coordinate samples and support showroom set-up for range presentations
- Prepare design line sheets and CADs for Sales
- Support pre-sales with style creation, barcodes and sales notes
- Coordinate samples for wholesale and online photography
- Keep the design room organised and ensure all design and development information is accurate and up to date
REQUIREMENTS +
- Fashion Design qualification or relevant industry experience
- Previous experience in a Junior Design or Design Assistant role within fashion
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills and confidence creating CADs
- Experience with artwork, print and/or embellishment highly regarded
- Experience with Centric or similar PLM systems advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- High energy, resilience and enthusiasm
- Creative mindset with a genuine passion for fashion and product
- A proactive can-do attitude and eagerness to continue developing your skills
