We’ve partnered with a growing Australian business to recruit an experienced Merchandise Planner for a 12-month contract. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Planner who enjoys working across both retail and wholesale, with the chance to take ownership of planning and have a genuine impact on commercial performance.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of merchandise planning across key channels, using data and commercial insight to drive sales, optimise inventory, and support business growth.

Working closely with Buying, Sales, Product and senior stakeholders, you’ll ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Own merchandise planning across retail and wholesale channels
  • Develop sales, stock and intake plans aligned to business targets
  • Analyse trading performance and provide actionable recommendations
  • Manage forecasting, OTB and inventory to optimise availability and profitability
  • Partner with Buying and Sales to support range and channel strategies
  • Monitor stock flow, sell-through and key commercial KPIs
  • Identify risks and opportunities and adjust plans accordingly
  • Present clear insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS +

  • 4+ years’ experience in Merchandise Planning
  • Experience across both wholesale and retail highly regarded
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset
  • Advanced Excel and strong planning systems experience
  • Confident working with large data sets and translating insights into action
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Highly organised, proactive and commercially driven
