We’ve partnered with an iconic Australian surf and lifestyle brand to recruit a Senior Ladies Designer to join their Perth-based Design team.
This is a rare opportunity to join an established brand entering an exciting new chapter, with a strong focus on product, creativity, and continued growth. You’ll play a key role in shaping Ladies Apparel and Swim collections, working across design, product development, and offshore production to create commercially successful product that customers want to wear.

The Role
As Senior Ladies Designer, you’ll be responsible for developing commercially strong Ladies Apparel and Swim collections from initial concept through to production.
You’ll combine your creative vision with a strong understanding of the customer, trends, fabrication, and commercial product development. Working closely with Design, Sales, Marketing, and offshore suppliers, you’ll help bring seasonal collections to life while ensuring they meet the brand direction, quality expectations, and critical timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Design and develop Ladies Apparel and Swim collections across multiple categories
- Research global fashion, colour, fabric, and lifestyle trends to inform seasonal direction
- Develop concepts, prints, colour palettes, CADs, and presentation boards
- Manage product development from initial concept through to production
- Create tech packs and provide detailed feedback throughout sampling and fit
- Source fabrics, trims, washes, and finishes within target costs
- Build strong relationships with offshore suppliers and manage development timelines
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, DTC, and wider Design teams
- Present seasonal ranges and contribute to internal range reviews
- Mentor junior members of the Design team and contribute to the wider creative direction
REQUIREMENTS +
- 3+ years' experience in a similar fashion design role
- Relevant Fashion Design qualification
- Strong commercial design and product development experience
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrication
- Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
- Experience working with offshore suppliers
- Highly creative with a strong commercial mindset
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
- Positive, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
