Overview
A globally recognised premium fashion brand is seeking a commercially driven Trade & eCommerce Buying Manager to lead and optimise its direct-to-consumer performance.

This role sits at the intersection of buying, digital trading, CRM, merchandising, and performance marketing. It is responsible for ensuring the right product is bought, ranged, marketed, and sold at the right time, across the right channels.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role — not just reporting or campaign execution. The successful candidate will actively trade the business, identify growth opportunities, manage stock and product performance, and ensure all digital channels are fully optimised.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

eCommerce Buying & Range Planning

  • Own the end-to-end eCommerce buy for the DTC channel
  • Partner with design, production, merchandising, and wholesale teams to build commercially balanced ranges
  • Ensure alignment across category mix, pricing, size curves, delivery flow, and seasonal demand
  • Identify opportunities across newness, bestsellers, replenishment, exclusives, and capsules
  • Conduct post-season analysis to inform future buying decisions
  • Provide clear product feedback based on performance, returns, and customer behaviour

Digital Trading & Performance

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly trading performance (revenue, conversion, AOV, sell-through, margin)
  • Identify opportunities across product, customer segments, geography, and channels
  • Drive weekly trade actions across site merchandising, CRM, and marketing channels
  • Manage product lifecycle from launch through to sell-through and promotional activity
  • Deliver clear, insight-led trade reporting with actionable recommendations

CRM & Customer Growth

  • Lead CRM strategy across email, SMS, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing
  • Build and execute a customer calendar aligned to product drops and campaigns
  • Optimise automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back, etc.)
  • Drive retention and repeat purchase while maintaining brand positioning
  • Leverage customer insights to inform trading, buying, and marketing decisions

Merchandising & Product Performance

  • Analyse performance across category, size, price point, and delivery
  • Identify gaps and missed opportunities in the range
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve product outcomes and sell-through
  • Balance brand direction with commercial performance

Agency & Channel Management

  • Manage external agencies across paid media, CRM, SEO, and performance marketing
  • Ensure alignment between marketing activity, stock position, and product priorities
  • Hold agencies accountable to ROI and commercial outcomes
  • Drive continuous testing and optimisation across channels Website & Customer Experience
  • Optimise site navigation, product discovery, and conversion
  • Ensure strong product visibility, content, and storytelling
  • Identify and resolve customer journey friction points
  • Monitor behavioural data (search, drop-off, returns) to improve performance

Wholesale Collaboration

  • Partner with wholesale teams to align product strategy and performance insights
  • Translate wholesale trends into DTC opportunities (and vice versa)
  • Support a unified, commercially driven approach across all channels

Reporting & Insights

  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting across trade, CRM, product, and marketing
  • Track key metrics including revenue, conversion, AOV, retention, ROAS, sell-through, and margin
  • Translate data into clear commercial actions and recommendations for leadership

REQUIREMENTS +

  • 5–7+ years in eCommerce trading, buying, merchandising, CRM, or similar
  • Experience within premium/luxury fashion, beauty, or high-aesthetic brands
  • Strong understanding of Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and paid media channels
  • Proven ability to trade an eCommerce business commercially
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and external agencies
