The Opportunity
As Buyer – Men’s, you’ll own a category end-to-end—building a commercially strong, trend-led assortment that wins in an eCommerce environment. Partnering closely with the Division & Category Director, you’ll drive assortment strategy, vendor negotiations, margin performance, and weekly trading, balancing newness vs. replenishment and ensuring the product is always one step ahead of demand.
This role is ideal for a men’s apparel buyer who thrives in high-velocity retail, loves trading the business weekly, and can translate trend + data into product that performs.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
Key Responsibilities
- Assortment & Buying Strategy
- Build and execute a men’s apparel buying strategy aligned to seasonal trends, customer demand, and financial targets
- Curate a trend-driven assortment with the right balance of newness vs replenishment, optimizing SKU count and inventory health
- Trend Forecasting & Market Intelligence
- Conduct market research across runway, street style, social, and competitor activity to keep the assortment future-facing
- Translate trend insights into actionable direction for internal partners including production and suppliers
Vendor Management, Costing & Margin
- Lead vendor negotiations to secure the best cost, quality, and delivery terms
- Drive margin optimization while maintaining product standards in a highly competitive market
Financial & Trading Performance
- Own weekly trading: monitor sales, open-to-buy, pricing, margins, inventory levels, and markdown risk
- Manage the balance of newness and replenishment to reduce markdowns and improve profitability
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with production, planning, replenishment and creative teams to support speed-to-market, timely deliveries, and cohesive launches
- Align product drops, promotions, and replenishment plans to maximize sales opportunity
Data-Driven Category Optimisation
- Use sales performance data, customer feedback, reviews and market insights to continuously refine assortment and improve conversion
REQUIREMENTS +
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years’ experience as a Buyer within men’s apparel, ideally in an eCommerce fashion brand or fast fashion environment
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging men’s fashion trends with a true product obsession
- Proven experience managing vendors and negotiating cost, quality and delivery
- Strong commercial capability: trading mindset, analytical thinking, and comfort with weekly performance cadence
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, plus PowerPoint and Google Workspace
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Production, Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
- English required; additional languages advantageous
