Location: Alexandria, Sydney (100% In-Office)
Contract Duration: 3 – 6 Months
Role Purpose
A high-energy, hands-on Creative Director is sought for a fixed-term contract to maintain the visual heart and soul of a leading fashion brand. Over a 3–6 month period, the role focuses on providing seamless leadership for the creative department, ensuring the high-volume production of on-trend fashion content remains world-class. The Creative Director will act as the anchor both on-set and in the office, bridging high-level brand strategy with the daily execution of the junior team.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
1. On-Set Direction & Production (40%)
- Physical Presence: Lead all major eCommerce and campaign photoshoots on-site in Sydney.
- Art Direction: Provide real-time guidance to photographers, stylists, and models to ensure all content aligns with the brand’s aesthetic.
- Workflow Efficiency: Oversee the shoot calendar, ensuring products are captured, edited, and ready for launch according to schedule.
- Quality Control: Maintain uncompromising standards in lighting, posing, and styling to drive conversion and brand aspiration.
2. Team Leadership & Mentorship (30%)
- Junior Management: Direct the daily workflows of Graphic Designers, Campaign Coordinators, and the Social Media Manager.
- Project Oversight: Sign off on all digital assets, EDMs, and social content to ensure work is on-brand and on-deadline.
- Culture: Foster a high-productivity, collaborative office environment that maintains morale and creative output.
3. Creative Strategy & Brand Continuity (20%)
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure brand identity remains consistent and distinctive, adhering to established guidelines.
- Campaign Execution: Translate the marketing calendar into actionable creative briefs for the team, keeping seasonal trends in mind.
- Trend Awareness: Monitor fashion trends across social platforms to guide content strategy.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration (10%)
- Reporting: Provide weekly updates to the CMO and Founder on projects and team performance.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external post-production houses and agencies to ensure deliverables meet internal standards.
REQUIREMENTS +
- Experience: 5+ years in a creative leadership role within fashion or lifestyle eCommerce. Experience in founder-led businesses is highly valued.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire junior creatives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Technical Skill: Expert in Adobe Creative Suite with a sophisticated eye for photography and styling.
- Location: Must be based in Alexandria and comfortable being on-set 2-3 days per week.
- Temperament: Calm under pressure, highly organized, and able to hit the ground running.
