About the job:

The Head of Design will lead the design function and work closely alongside the Creative Director. This role is central to shaping the creative direction of the brand while ensuring that all collections are innovative, aspirational, and commercially successful.

The Head of Design will oversee the design team, provide mentorship to senior and junior designers, and collaborate closely with Product Development, Patternmakers, and Garment Technicians. From concept through to final sample, the Head of Design will ensure brand handwriting, design integrity, and craftsmanship remain at the highest level.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring the design team to foster creativity and excellence.
  • Collaborating with Product Development, Patternmakers, and Garment Technicians to deliver designs that achieve the highest standards of fit and quality.
  • Managing the design calendar and ensuring that key milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Driving trend research, fabric innovation, and cultural insights to maintain the brand’s position at the forefront of luxury fashion
  • Balancing creativity with commercial sensibility to ensure global success across categories.

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Experience in luxury fashion design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in womenswear, particularly in tailoring, eveningwear, and refined ready-to-wear.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and guide creative teams.
  • Deep technical knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and finishing.
  • A collaborative mindset, with experience working alongside cross-functional teams.
  • A global perspective on fashion trends and luxury consumer behaviour.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both visually and verbally.
