About the job:

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Allocator to join our Merchandising team. As an Allocator will play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximise sales and minimise markdowns. You’ll support the Senior Merchandise Planner in executing seasonal strategy by analysing sales trends and managing stock flow across channels and locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Allocate initial and replenishment stock to stores and/or online channels in line with sales forecasts and stock targets.

  • Monitor store performance and stock levels daily to optimise availability and support trading decisions.

  • Analyse sales, stock, and intake data to inform allocation and replenishment strategies.

  • Support Senior Merchandise Planner with weekly trade reporting and ad hoc analysis.

  • Assist in buyers admin tasks, planning and executing seasonal launches, promotions, and transfers.

  • Liaise with Distribution and Store teams to ensure smooth stock flow.

  • Maintain accuracy across stock systems, purchase orders, and allocation tools.

  • Contribute to seasonal reviews and lessons learned for future planning.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in retail allocation, merchandise admin, or a similar analytical role (ideally in fashion or womenswear).

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel / AP21 and TRS (desirable)

  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • A team player with a proactive approach and a growth mindset.

  • Knowledge of WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock & Intake) and OTB principles.
