About the job:
This role plays a key part in the end-to-end design and development process for a contemporary womenswear brand, supporting seasonal collections from initial concept through to final production. Working closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams, the role is responsible for trend research, fabric sourcing, range planning, tech pack creation, supplier communication, and fit sessions. With a strong technical foundation and an eye for both detail and commercial viability, this position ensures each product meets aesthetic, quality, and margin expectations. It also involves managing timelines, sample sets, and supporting marketing and sales functions—acting as a central link between design, development, production, and brand experience.
About you:
You’re a creative and detail-oriented design professional with a strong understanding of the end-to-end product development process. With experience across womenswear, you’re confident managing seasonal collections from concept through to production - balancing trend awareness with commercial thinking. You bring strong technical skills, from fabric sourcing and tech pack creation to fit sessions and supplier communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- With Contract Creative Director, Research and present seasonal trends, colour palettes, mood boards, and overarching direction for approval by the founder
- Ensure each collection aligns with the product matrix, pricing architecture, and monthly delivery requirements
- Update and adapt best-selling styles and silhouettes with new fabrics and prints
- Collaborate with Sales to align creative development with commercial objectives and regional demand
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Add measurement points, measurements and where to measure on technical sketch in tech packs
- Add comments/ additional sketches to aid the proto sample arriving as designed. For example, a pattern sketch to indicate how to flare evenly.
- Measure Proto, SMS & PP samples prior fits
- Understand our aesthetic as a brand
- type fit comments/ fit on model with Design/Production
- Conducting fit sessions and providing clear and accurate fit comments to suppliers, with pictures against most fit comments and request the next sampling stage.
- Ensuring that garments meet quality standards in construction and trims.
- Create seasonal costing worksheet
- Liaise with suppliers to ascertain costs during development stage to ensure Margin will be achieved and maintain updated costing sheets
- Assist with execution of four seasonal photoshoots, working across styling, sample preparation, and on-set creative support
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on asset requirements to ensure samples are delivered, styled, and captured in alignment with design vision
- Advise marketing, production of any changes to styles at photo shoot, to ensure fits relay the same changes
