Ready to own the numbers for a leading fashion brand? Our client, an established Australian womenswear retailer with stores nationally and abroad, is seeking a commercially sharp Senior Planner to drive profit across their department and mentor a high-performing team.
About the Opportunity
This is a senior, hands-on trading role where you’ll shape product decisions from concept to sell-through. Working alongside Buying, Design, Production and Supply Chain, you’ll set the strategic framework, steer in-season trade and lead a team of planners and allocators.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Own department trading performance, delivering sales, margin and profit targets
- Manage in-season OTB via the WSSI and adjust plans in response to sales and market shifts
- Control markdowns, promotional spend and terminal stock to protect margin
- Build seasonal and rolling budgets covering KPIs, stock cover, pricing, option plans and production
- Partner with Buyers and Designers on balanced range builds and clear price architecture
- Use rate of sale and size analysis to inform width and depth
- Oversee allocation, stock flow and new store builds, planning ahead for key trading peaks
- Coach and develop direct reports through regular feedback and performance reviews
- Get out into stores and the warehouse to stay connected to product and customer
REQUIREMENTS +
- Minimum 5 years’ planning experience within fashion retail
- Strong track record trading a department and managing stock to profit
- Highly commercial and analytical, with a sharp eye for detail
- Proven people leader who enjoys developing talent
- Advanced Excel and confident with planning systems
- Clear communicator who can present and influence at a senior level
- Up to date with the competitor landscape and fashion trends
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
