We've partnered with a fast-growing premium home and lifestyle brand to recruit an experienced Merchandise Planner to join their Sydney team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded planner who enjoys balancing forecasting, inventory strategy, and trading performance. Working closely with Product, Finance, Operations, and Sales, you'll play a key role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time while driving business growth across both wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.

The Role
As Merchandise Planner, you'll own forecasting, inventory planning, and trading analysis across multiple channels. You'll partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strong commercial outcomes while ensuring stock levels, financial plans, and promotional activity are aligned with business objectives.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, offering exposure to planning, logistics, wholesale, and eCommerce in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Develop forecasts and manage inventory to achieve sales, margin, and stock targets
- Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) and support financial planning across seasonal ranges
- Analyse sales, stock, and trading performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Drive inventory optimisation across wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels
- Partner with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure efficient stock flow
- Support assortment planning, pricing, and promotional strategies
- Deliver regular reporting and commercial insights to senior stakeholders
- Mentor and support the Merchandise Assistant while improving planning processes
REQUIREMENTS +
- 2–3+ years' experience in merchandise planning or inventory planning
- Strong forecasting, OTB, and inventory management capability
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with planning systems
- Experience working across retail, wholesale, or eCommerce channels
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Highly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
