Meet Greta Rutherford | Recruitment Consultant at Who in the Zoo

What is your role at Who in the Zoo, and could you share your background?

Hi, Greta, Ive recently joined the amazing 'Who in the Zoo' team as a principal consultant specialising in all things digital, growth, paid media and marketing. I started my career in recruitment in the hospitality sector focusing on chefs for family style to high end venues. I moved over to creative recruitment, working across freelance and permanent roles in 2021 and absolutely loved the fast paced and variety of work within this space. From candidates to clients, I loved the artistic and expressive nature of the industry and roles that came across my desk. Now working for Who in the Zoo in a similar space, I have the opportunity to work with creative across fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and stay up to date with all the latest trends. 

What do clients and candidates appreciate most about working with you?

I feel clients and candidates appreciate my openness and honestly with feedback and my personal approach when communicating. I like to make my clients and candidates feel like they can call me anytime and they are just talking with a friend.

Outside of work, what are your passions and hobbies?

Apart from raising my beautiful children, I love to socialise with friends and have a good gossip, I love to sew clothing for myself and my family and spend time discovering new and interesting restaurants around Sydney.

What sets Who in the Zoo apart from others in the industry?

I believe Who in the Zoo has set the bar in quality and communication withing our industry. Most of our consultants have come from the fashion and lifestyle industry and have first-hand experience in the roles we look after.
