NATIONAL RETAIL MANAGER - FASHION | SYDNEY
Our client is a well-known fashion and lifestyle brand renowned for it's timeless aesthetic, ethical foundations, and genuine care for their customers. In the past few years the brand has scaled aggressively, achieving fantastic growth across D2C and wholesale channels. They have a strong presence in Australia, New Zealand and the US, and have partnered with incredible retailers across the globe.
The focus for the business now is to rapidly grow the retail presence hence they are looking for a National Retail Manager. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the brands retail strategy across AUS/NZ, with a focus on operational excellence, team leadership, and customer experience. This is a hands-on senior leadership position ideal for someone with deep retail experience and strong commercial acumen.
Location: Sydney
Travel: Travel to key stores across NSW with trips to QLD and NZ every 3-4 months. Need for travel will increase with new store openings.
Salary: $120k-$150k + super + bonus (dependent on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Lead day-to-day operations across all current and future retail locations.
- Own store performance metrics including sales, staff KPIs, profitability, and customer experience.
- Build and implement structured retail operations, systems, and reporting mechanisms to support growth.
- Develop and lead training, recruitment, and development programs for store teams to ensure consistency in brand representation and service.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (e-commerce, digital, product, marketing) to align store strategy with broader brand initiatives.
- Oversee new store rollouts from post-site negotiation through to opening and ongoing operations, ensuring stores are launched with excellence and efficiency.
- Champion a “halo effect” strategy where physical retail drives both direct sales and enhances brand strength online.
- Lead by example in driving a performance-driven, collaborative, and ethical retail culture.
REQUIREMENTS +
- Proven experience leading multi-site retail teams (cluster/state/national level) within a high-growth or premium/lifestyle brand.
- Track record in store rollouts, retail operations, and team leadership.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to drive both profitability and brand alignment.
- Deep understanding of store-level P&Ls, staffing structures, and KPI-based management.
- Experience working collaboratively across functions, especially marketing, product, and eCommerce.
- The right mix of detail orientation, people leadership, and strategic insight to scale a growing network.
- High integrity, ethical standards, and alignment with a brand that deeply values sustainability and long-term relationships with suppliers and partners.
