In this role, you'll collaborate with top brands in music and entertainment, like Warner Music, Disney, Marvel, Universal, and more. You'll create a wide range of designs in products ranging from Apparel and Softline's to Hardlines categories, encompassing homewares, accessories, and outdoor & leisure products. Adhering to brand style guides and licensing requirements, you'll showcase your expertise in finished art skills, transforming concepts into print-ready artwork with meticulous attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Develop design concepts and creatives for apparel, ensuring alignment with brand identity and market trends.

  • Create concept placement prints for approval by licensors and retailers, maintaining brand standards and guidelines.

  • Contribute to and implement the brand's style guide across all design collateral, ensuring consistency in visual messaging.

  • Manage creative timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and review creative briefs for accuracy and clarity.

  • Maintain a comprehensive print resource library and develop trends according to brand and sales requirements.

  • Collaborate with various buyers and subcategories within the brand to meet design objectives and market demands.

  • Coordinate with suppliers on artwork, layout dimensions, and Pantone color specifications.

  • Illustrate concepts by designing art layouts, considering size, type, and style.

  • Generate completed artwork using necessary equipment and software, ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with designers, marketing professionals, printers, and colleagues as needed to execute projects.

  • Support team endeavors by completing assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.

  • Evaluate final layouts and provide recommendations for improvements as needed.

  • Continuously upskill and expand knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant software.

  • Take ownership of all design projects, overseeing them from conceptualization to final artwork delivery.

  • Work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced creative studio environment.

  • Stay updated on art and design trends, delivering innovative and creative solutions across print media.

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Requires tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design / Finished Artist or a relevant field, along with over 4 years of experience in a similar setting.

  • Possess strong knowledge of pre-press processes and hands-on experience in product and packaging design, with meticulous attention to detail and excellent typography skills, and is adept at preparing files for print.

  • Strong time management skills, the ability to multitask, and thrive under tight deadlines and pressure, while also understanding industry best practices.

  • A collaborative team player with an optimistic outlook, skilled in prioritising assignments and delegating tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in Adobe CS with a tertiary qualification in design, and advantageous experience in apparel licensing.
