This senior role will see you report into the CFO and your purpose will be to dynamically manage and commercially balance Planning metrics. Financial background a must!

RESPONSIBILITIES +

  • Performance analysis against Budget, Replan and LFL growth targets
  • Identify opportunities and risks, engage cross functionally, make recommendations to maximize or mitigate
  • Develop and maintain Merchandise plans to provide a framework for informed business decisions
  • Provide dynamic OTB targets in line with trade and forecast
  • Attend and contribute in Weekly Trade and relevant brand meetings
  • Monitor margin, provide parameters and feedback to Design and Production teams, to ensure GP% is achieved
  • Strategically plan both permanent and promo markdowns to achieve GP targets; monitor and report actual against targets
  • Prepare markdowns
  • Review markdown with teams, and reflect in Merch Plans
  • Complete post season/quarter reviews per Brand specific guidelines.
  • Develop Dept/Cat financial strategy for next season working with Buying, and aligned to Brand strategy
  • Build a balanced option plan to deliver merchandise strategy
  • Quantify orders (incl size analysis, reaction to trade etc)
  • Ensure option and buying plans are within approved OTB

REQUIREMENTS +

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Retail Planning role
  • In depth knowledge of Retail and Supply Chain environments
  • Experience with planning software or WSSI’s
  • Tertiary qualification with an emphasis in Retail, Business, or Finance
  • Experience with TM1
  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the business; proven teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines and self-manage
  • Aptitude for numbers and an outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and use technology and systems, including strong Excel skills
  • Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, trading ability and a sense of ownership
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to affect and manage change for the benefit of the business
