My client is an Australian brand that has major international presence! Known for their unwavering commitment to authenticity, quality and craftsmanship. They are now seeking a Production and Design Superstar to join their luxurious, boutique company based in the trendy fashion hub - Alexandria!
To secure this dream role, you will have previous experience across Design and Production within apparel. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with the Designer and Creative Director, assisting to create beautifully designed ranges across multiple categories. You will have the chance to support the design process from initial concept through to style set up, sending tech packs and proto samples through to final SMS, ensuring the highest level of quality for each and every garment.

RESPONSIBILITIES +
- Accurate & thorough style set up for all collections
- Create tech sketches in Illustrator
- Assist to maintain critical paths for sample collections and production
- Ensure delivery schedule is updated daily to meet bulk product timelines are met
- Raising, updating, receipting and costing of purchase and production orders
- Follow up on samples, fit samples and salesman samples and ensure all products adhere to tech pack specifications
- Work with Production Manager on new season costings, looking at fabrications and construction methods to provide cost alternatives to the business Assist in the creation of the costing docs, incl factory costs, and quantities
- Assist with solving any production issues
- Assist with new season product shoot preparation where required
- Build close working relationships with suppliers, warehouses and freight forwarders
- Assist with print artwork edits, scaling & vector prints
- Assist with accessory design projects, beaded panel design & artwork approvals from creation to SMS approval stage
- Coordinate customer returns & repairs with makers & customer service team
- Maintain an up to date historical fabric library, ensuring all season bulk fabrics are labelled & archived
- Create care label information for all styles for external suppliers & approved artwork layout prior to printing
- Create barcode information for all styles for external suppliers & approve artwork layout for production
REQUIREMENTS +
- Min 1yrs apparel experience in the Fashion Industry
- Must be proficient in Illustrator and InDesign
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Design and Textiles
- High level of accountability, attention to detail, creativity and innovation
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Ability to initiative action, manage work effectively and contribute to the success of the team
- Good understanding of critical path and timelines
- Organised with impeccable attention to detail, with an ability to anticipate problems and provide suitable solutions
- Good analytical and numerical skills
