This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about creating high quality Fashion Lingerie. If you want to be part of a well-established but constantly expanding business then this could be the role for you.

The main responsibility of this role is to Research, develop and design commercially viable ranges that are costed to the agreed targets and deliver solutions to our customers each season to deliver sales and GP to

agreed targets.

 

You Will:

  • Work with GM Product on trend direction to develop and design ranges to fulfil trends and drive sales for the business
  • React to current trends and constantly update existing product as required
  • Brief ranges to suppliers to develop product to present in range meetings
  • Responsible for (alongside planning) developing category strategies for your division every season, including price architecture, trend direction and number of options required for the business to deliver agreed sales and GM targets
  • As part of the above, responsible for with planning a look back of the previous period to analyse sales trends and learning’s to enable range building and space plans
  • Accountable for range building with the planner to consider option width and product depth and range sizing as well as the quantification of each line
  • Work closely with Planners to ensure an understanding of divisional ranging and OTB and planned promotions as required
  • Trade the area – reacting to latest sales information and as part of this test new products and adapt long term plans as required
  • Identify innovation concepts within your division and update ongoing styles as required to reflect new technical developments
  • Ensure product is delivered on time to stores according to budgets, marketing and promotional activities by working with product operations on critical path management including managing of samples and approvals of lab dips and strike offs
  • Constantly monitor margins to ensure they are at or above planned level and in line with annual budget
  • Negotiate products into margin targets whilst maintaining pricing architecture that always ensures we offer value to the customer
  • Ensure range samples are to the standard required by the business and ensure all raw materials are fit for purpose
  • Manage at team of assistant buyers and buying coordinators to encourage growth and promotion and conduct monthly pars to ensure development and succession planning
  • Manage a fit technician within division to ensure CP dates are met and fit is to brand standards – this includes attending all fit sessions to deliver this
  • Oversee the creation and updating of buy plans and PO’s for each new line into the business and ensure these are sent to the suppliers according to the CP
  • Manage supplier relationships maintaining regular and professional communications that are conducive to achieving company profitability objectives
  • Uphold on time delivery policy with suppliers, ensuring that all late delivery penalties or any other penalties are applied where appropriate
  • Travel when required to include overseas travel and interstate for store visiting and report back findings
  • Use of Monthly competitor analysis to ensure we are staying abreast of market trends in Australia and overseas
  • Work with Marketing and VM and online teams as required

 

Required:

• Retail Buying experience in lingerie of 5 years plus

• Must have bra development and bra design experience

• Ability to manage and develop a team

• Degree level qualification or equivalent

• Individual that demonstrates initiative has the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

• Technical aptitude – ability to grasp technical concepts and details

• Proven ability to work within deadlines with minimum supervision

• Flexible and thrives on change and challenge

• Innovative and creative

• Strong planning, coordinating and administration skills

• Strong communication skills
